School Format

  • The school will run for 4 1/2 days: from 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 25 through noon Friday, July 29.

    • On-site Registration (school check-in and badge distribution) will take place in the Atkinson Hall lobby starting Monday at 8:00 a.m. See venue page for more details.

  • The school consists of a series of lectures by experts from ITER members, with a focus on ITER Scenarios and Control. The lectures will be at a level geared toward graduate students and early career scientists,

  • Half of two afternoons will be reserved for poster sessions.

    • Students are invited to present their work (it doesn't have to be on Scenarios and Control).

    • There will be prizes for the best posters.

  • We will take part of one afternoon off to visit local fusion facilities, tentatively the DIII-D National Tokamak Facility and the General Atomics Magnet Technology Center (where the ITER Central Solenoid modules are being built).
